How does a move to the cloud work?

Moving to the cloud is a big change. A change in the way we work and the way we communicate. And the bigger the change, the greater the resistance to it. To make your move to the Workspace (G Suite) cloud solution, or to a CRM, as smooth as possible, we follow the methodologies recommended by Google itself.

The whole project is divided into four phases:

1. Project preparation and the implementation team

2. Change management

3. Involving key employees – early adopters

4. Launch and the first days in the cloud – GO LIVE

Project preparation and the implementation team (1–4 weeks)

In this preparatory phase we establish the client's current situation: what the current solution is, and the sizes of the mailboxes and data storage. We put together the implementation team. This team consists of our technicians and the employees responsible for IT on the client's side. Together with the client, we draw up a schedule and identify the people involved in the cloud implementation project. In other words: who does what, when, and what the desired target state is.

Change management (1–2 weeks)

Before the change and the move to the cloud take place, communication within the company is important: what is happening, why established ways are changing, what the goal is and how things will be once the whole project has been carried out. Timely, proactive communication within the company and keeping all employees informed are the foundation of a successful move to the cloud.

Involving key employees – early adopters (1 week)

As soon as we have communicated what is going to be done, we can start the deployment. In larger companies we initially involve a few of their employees. These are the so-called “early adopters”, who are among the first to use the new cloud tools. At the same time, the migration of e-mails, documents and files is under way.

Launch and the first days in the cloud – GO LIVE (1–4 weeks)

D-Day has arrived, and from “GO LIVE” day onwards you are working in the cloud. Users work in the new environment and initial technical support is provided. The remaining data is migrated and the achievement of the implementation project's goals is checked. A handover report is delivered to the client.
